“I love my hair because it’s a reflection of my soul. It’s dense, it’s kinky, it’s soft, it’s textured, it’s difficult, it’s easy and it’s fun. That’s why I love my hair.”
-Tracee Ellis Ross
O-M-G!!! I don’t know whether I am hormonal because my cycle is trying to roar its ugly head…. but b-a-b-y, I have been feeling shitty the past few days. From handling work, to keeping a high energy four year old busy during the day and trying to settle in to a new area I was beyond pissed when I went to a barber and he F’d my hair up.
Determined to make myself feel better I got on IG to find another barber the same night. LOL. Not only did I find one with work that met my standards, I could schedule an appointment online. #BOOKED for Tuesday. My friend (Shannon) was so right when she said “make sure you do something for yourself at least once a day”. Mind you I don’t but when I got out the chair today..I felt like a new person, I will do something every day to make myself feel beautiful, special and confident!! I challenge you to as well, no matter how small it is. Maybe it’s plucking your eyebrows, painting your fingernails, or vacuuming out your car, make the commitment to yourself.
